3M

A diversified global company. It offers materials like micro- porous foam coatings for enhanced grip and abrasion resistance in work gloves. Nylon is often used in its glove- making materials for its strength and breathability. For example, in 3M™ Comfort Grip Gloves, the nitrile palm coating combined with nylon knit material provides a light, flexible, and long- lasting option.

DuPont

Renowned for high- tech materials. Kevlar is a super- strong synthetic fiber with excellent cut and heat resistance, ideal for mechanics and heat- resistant gloves. Nomex is another material by DuPont, which is highly heat- resistant and suitable for foundry and furnace- related gloves.

Honeywell

Supplies materials for safety- related products. It has proprietary blends of cutresistant fibers like those in its Perfect Fit CRT line, offering high- level cut protection. Also, materials for chemical- resistant gloves, such as nitrile with microfoam technology, provide good chemical resistance and grip.

DSM

A global science- based company. Dyneema, a high- performance polyethylene fiber from DSM, has extremely high strength- to- weight ratio. It is used in gloves that require high- level cut and puncture resistance, like heavy- duty work and puncture- proof gloves.

Teijin

A leading Japanese company in materials. Twaron, a para- aramid fiber similar to Kevlar, offers high strength and cut- resistance properties. It is often used in work gloves that need to protect against sharp objects in industrial settings.

Ansell

While known as a glove manufacturer, Ansell also invests in material R&D. Their advanced nitrile materials are engineered for better durability, chemical resistance, and tactile sensitivity. These are suitable for a wide range of industrial and specialty gloves.

Kordsa

Specializes in high- tenacity polyester and aramid yarns. Their materials are used in gloves for applications like construction and heavy- duty handling, providing good abrasion and cut resistance.

Asahi Kasei

Produces a variety of polymers and fibers. Their materials can be used in gloves to provide features such as water- resistance, softness, and warmth. For example, some of their synthetic fibers can be blended to create a fabric suitable for ski gloves.

Solvay

Supplies specialty polymers. These polymers can be used in the production of oil- resistant gloves, as they can withstand exposure to various oils and hydrocarbons commonly found in oil rig and mechanical work environments.

Dow

Offers a range of chemical products. Some of their materials can be used in the production of water- repellent coatings for gloves, as well as components for making soft yet durable glove materials suitable for different specialty applications.
